Every Computer has its days when nothing seems to be going
right. I've separated these everyday problems into three
categories. Choose which category best suits your problem for
a quote of how long this Computer Repair will take and the
price.
Minor Computer Repair
Minor repairs are easily done. They usually take less than an
hour, sometimes less than half of an hour. These repairs
include: Trouble-shooting printers, web cams, software won't
start-up, sounds aren't working properly, e-mail troubles, and
more.
Medium Computer Repair
Medium repairs take more time than minor repairs. Medium
repairs can also be multiple problems with the computer.
Problems such as: Display image is fuzzy and unclear, start-up
is missing some files, numerous programs
won't work, infected with a virus and can't remove it,
problems with hardware being configured improperly, replacing
bad hardware (you buy the part and I will install it ), cannot
log onto the internet, and more.
Major Computer Repair
Major repairs take the longest time. Major repairs are when
you can't get your computer working properly or get it to
start-up. Many times there isn't anything you can do to fix
the problem except re-format, which basically means
wipe everything out and start over fresh. Reformatting also
includes installation of your Operating System ex. Windows 98
or Xp.
What Causes Problems with Computers?
Computers are just like young children, they need nurturing.
Every Computer has problems and troubles just like children
do. What you can do to prevent a lot of Computer problems is
to make sure you don't install too much software. Its hard to
tell when it's too much, but you will realize when your
system starts to slow down. The reason you don't want to
install a lot of software is that some programs share the same
files, and may overwrite your other programs settings and even
destroy the whole program. If you remove program and it
is sharing a file with another piece of software it will
disable the other program that is still on the system. Windows
98 and 95 are infamous for this. When you are removing a
program from Windows 98 or 95 and it gives you the option
to remove additional files, always click no! These are
the shared files mostly ending with dll or ocx. Windows XP has
prevented this conflict to an extent. Nothing is perfect, nor
is Windows Xp. Following this easy step will eliminate some
problems, it won't fix them all. Repairing Computers is a
tedious task because it can be one so many different
possibilities.
This is just one of many problems with Computers. I find
most of the Computer repairs I have done have been because of
missing files, and no one in the home can remember deleting
anything. They can't remember because they didn't delete
anything, it happens when removing programs that have shared
files. |
